This is completely unrelated to social entrepreneurship or treehugging, but I had an epiphany today when I decisively chose my favorite libation. You know those lame questionnaires that ask you questions about yourself and you're supposed to respond to them and forward on to 8 friends? One of the questions is inevitably "What is your favorite drink?". And I'm not much of an alcohol drinker, so I always have to answer with something lame, like wheatgrass juice, or Oregon Vanilla Chai. But today, I can unequivocally state that the best drink ever is the "Bolthouse Farms" Perfectly Protein Mocha Cappuccino with Whey Protein. Its amazing, it totally shattered my expectations of a "health" drink. I just bought some at the supermarket as a meal replacement (I'm a consultant and I hate eating out on the road all the time).
So it tastes a lot like a Frappuccino from Starbucks, except it tastes MUCH better, uses quality ingredients, and is way healthier for you than a Frap is (just look at the nutrition facts on the site). It also has 20g of Whey protein in it (extremely important for vegetarians). Only ding is that it has a lot of sugar. If they're able to make a low-sugar version that might be good. But it says no added sugar, so I guess all the sugar is all natural. Also, it has Arabica coffee in it. Who can't use the extra caffeine while you're trying to stay up staring at spreadsheets? (I should stop blogging and get back to that now).
I don't do the whole soda thing (hardly ever).. and I dislike how health drinks like Bolthouse and Naked come individually wrapped (and are so expensive!). And (see earlier post) I think its absolutely lame to charge me for bottled water, so I won't do that anymore. I can't wait until one day I can buy a "six pack" of this stuff..
I don't get paid by Bolthouse Farms, but you should definitely go out and try this stuff if you love those superfatty Frappuccinos, but don't like Starbucks.
