In Keeley’s Design Planning class, we’re trying to nail the plan for a platform solution that aggregates data, uses some sort of human or computer powered inference engine, and visualizes the data in a meaningful way that is actionable by urban planners, city officials, or business leaders.
The work is part of a project titled 19-20-21 (that site was planned by Richard Saul Worman).
The point is: I’m learning that surveys and corresponding data visualizations are grossly underrated. There’s a lot of space here for information gathering that reaches the other 4 Billion.
I don’t think I saw this yet on NextBillion’s site.. A new initiative by IBM, Palm, and Stanford, named Mobile Metrix is trying to address the situation in a simple and effective way.
